First week back at work started rough. I am starting to loose focus since I am ready to find something new. I tried to stay stress free by leaving work to my other employees, that is why they are there.
I began getting back into shape via Netflix exercise videos and cutting back on extras in my diet. 8 pounds disappeared this week, hopefully it doesn't return and more decides to leave.

New Year's Day
Got home late, mused at seeing one of the geckos in the garage (meaning it's warm enough for them to be out), drank more champagne and went to bed around 1:30 am. Woke up at 9:30 am with a very hungry cat shoving her head up under the side covers. A nice way to awaken to the new year. Plus, the great Texas weather is continuing as our "cold front" has moved in... a bone chilling 55 degrees this morning. I think today will bring a nice walk with the family and some good food. I just wish I had more time off, not ready to go back to work on Tuesday.

Who I Was and Who I Am
Here I am back in 1998, all sleek at my sister's wedding. About a month later I eloped and married my husband. We've been married for 13 years now.
Here I am this past October with my daughter, who is 9. To me this picture does not really show how heavy I look in some other pictures. Perhaps this is a bit more comfortable to post here... Anyway, you can see the difference and I'd like to get closer to what I was rather than keep at what I am now.
The (Never Changing*) To Do List
The List (noted in post #1) of Things to Change...
1. Find a new job
2. Loose weight and get in shape
3. Eat better (goes along with #2)
4. Clear clutter from my possessions
5. Be outside more (in hot and/or cold weather)
6. Ride the bike more, indoors and outdoors
7. Pick a couple crafts to focus on, not 20+
8. Stress less, maybe even listen to the chiropractor and meditate or try other options
9. Limit time on the computer... at least on mostly useless sites
10. Be happier in general (all of the above should help with this too!)
*Never Changing - for now, but change is the point of this whole blog. So, hopefully this will be changing with items disappearing as they are accomplished.
This is NOT a New Years resolution list since those are usually short term and I intend to follow this. :)

Little Aqua Owlet Awakens
For a hundredth time I am going to attempt to make changes to my life... much like everyone else in the world at this time of year. The energy starts as the new year approaches, a chance for rebirth and renewal. It seems easier since I have become accustomed to being in a warmer and lighter place than New England ever was. Right now I am pondering the things I need to change (for the better), not just the obvious ones, but those that run deeper too. A list is in the works and will, most likely, be the second post here.
